After I’ve scanned what is available, I find matching colours. I also pay attention to strength and durability of the flowers. Finally, I look at the right ratio between feature flowers, fillers and foliage. It strikes me that people seem to choose a mix of colours in Australia. Whereas in Europe, people tend to arrange 'ton sur ton' (in matching shades).
When I head off, my whole car is filled with a smell of flowers. I pride myself for being fortunate to work with such beautiful natural materials!
